Kya 'yada yada hi dharmasya' (Gita 4.7) sirf Bhagwan ke avatar ki baat hai?
Is shlok ka asli arth: jab-jab is sansar mein dharm ka patan hota hai aur adharm ka utthan hota hai, tab-tab Ishwar swayam deh dharan karte hain.

Jab charon taraf anyay ho, jab jhooth hi sach ki tarah chalne lage, jab ek sadharan manushya ke saare raaste band nazar aayen — tab mann mein ek hi prashn uthta hai. Kya koi dekh raha hai? Kya kisi ko parwah hai?
Shlok (Gita 4.7 — Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya)
यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत।
अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदाऽऽत्मानं सृजाम्यहम्
yadā yadā hi dharmasya glānir bhavati bhārata
abhyutthānam adharmasya tadātmānaṁ sṛijāmyaham
Jab charon taraf anyay ho, jab jhooth hi sach ki tarah chalne lage, jab ek sadharan manushya ke saare raaste band nazar aayen — tab mann mein ek hi prashn uthta hai: kya koi dekh raha hai, kya kisi ko parwah hai? Dhai hazaar saal pehle bhi yahi prashn tha. Yeh shlok usi prashn ke uttar mein kaha gaya tha. Lekin jo uttar mila, woh sirf aashwasan nahi tha. Woh ek aise niyam ki ghoshna thi jo is srishti ki sanrachna mein buna hua hai.

Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya Arth ki Gehri Vyakhya
Yeh shlok us brahmaandiya vyavastha ka udghosh hai jise koi raja nahi, koi yug nahi: kewal dharm ki jeevan-sthiti nirdharit karti hai.
Yada Yada: do baar yada ka prayog sanyog nahi. Yeh koi nishchit tithi ka nahi, ek satat-sajag pratisar ka sanket hai: jab-jab, jitni baar, jahan bhi. Glaniḥ shabd glai dhatu se aata hai, jiska arth hai murjhana, thak jana. Dharm yahan koi patthar ki imarat nahi jo girti hai. Yoh ek jeevit, shwas leti hui satta hai jo samaj ke anachar se shithil hoti hai, jaise dhoop aur paani se vanchit paudha.
Abhyutthanam mein abhi upsarg samanya utthan se adhik tivra hai: yeh adharm ka aakraamak ubhar hai, na kewal upasthiti. Aur ant mein srijami: srij dhatu ka arth hai prakshepan, utsarjan, swayam ko bhejna.
Dharm koi vidhan nahi, ek jeevit shakti hai jo thak bhi sakti hai.
Jab mali dekhta hai ki bagiche ki jaadein sukhne lagi hain, to woh bahar se koi naya mali nahi bulata: woh swayam jaata hai, mitti palatata hai, jaadon ko nayi sanjivani deta hai. Parmatma ka srijamyaham bhi aisa hi hai: woh kisi door lok se neeche nahi utarta. Woh avyakt se vyakt mein swayam ko prakshepat karta hai.
Jaise kumhar mitti ko bheetar se aakaar deta hai: bahar ki shakti nahi, apni upasthiti. Yahi avatar ki antartam mechanics hai: ek prakshepan, na ki avataran.
Parmatma utarta nahi: avyakt se swayam ko vyakt mein prakshepat karta hai.
Yada yada mein ek aur gehraai hai: yeh praktataN kisi rajnitik sankat ki pratiksha nahi karta. Yeh tab hota hai jab samaj ka dharm-bodh — woh samuhik naitik chetna — bheetar se khokhli hone lagti hai. Ek sangeetkaar jaanta hai ki raag tab bigdata hai jab mool swar ki aavrutti hi bhatak jaye: bahari shor nahi, bheetari dhun ka tootna. Yahi glaniḥ hai.
Is siddhant ki ek aur parat hai: yada yada koi ekal aitihasik ghatna nahi, ek chakriya aur shashwat prakriya hai. Jaise sharir mein shwet raktkanikaayen sankraman aate hi swatah jagti hain. Koi vishesh aadesh nahi, koi nirdharit avasar nahi. Usi prakar, brahmaandiya dharm-vyavastha mein Parmatma ki yeh pratikriya anivarya aur swabhavik hai. Har yug mein, har sabhyata mein. Koi bhi kaal isse pare nahi.
Ek samanya bhrainti yeh hai ki yeh shlok kewal paap-baahulya ki baat karta hai. Jab atyadhik dusht badh jaayen tab Parmatma prakat hote hain. Kintu shlok dharmasya glaniḥ kehta hai, na ki dushṭānāṁ vṛiddhiḥ. Dhyan kendra hai dharm ki thakan par, burai ki sankhya par nahi.
Yeh antar mahatvapurna hai: ek samaj mein dusht kam hon kintu satya, nyay aur karuna ke prati samuhik udaaseenata bhi glaniḥ hai.
Dharm ki thakan, dushton ki sankhya nahi — yahi Ishwariya prakataN ka vastavik hetu hai.
Vibhinn darshan parampaaraen is shlok ko apne-apne drishtikon se dekhti hain. Advaita ki drishti mein avatar maya ke bheetar Brahma ki swachhand leela hai: na koi aagaman, na prasthan, kewal prakataN aur vilayan. Bhakti parampara yahan Parmatma ki sagun karuna dekhti hai: woh bhakton ki pukar sunta hai aur saakar roop leta hai.
Karmayog is shlok ko ek jeevant prerana maanta hai. Jab-jab aapke apne bheetar dharm ki glani ho, tab aap bhi us chetna ko punah prakshepat kar sakte hain. Woh chetna jo sada se aapke bheetar avyakt hai.
Aaj ke Jeevan Mein
Yeh shlok yeh prashn khada karta hai: jab glaniḥ dikhe, to uttar kaun hai?

1908 mein rajdroh ke aarop mein chhe saal ke kaarawaas mein Bal Gangadhar Tilak ne Gita-Rahasya likha — Marathi mein, tark ke aadhar par. Unki vyakhya mein yada yada koi ekal aitihasik ghatna nahi thi — yeh ek shashwat dhaancha hai. Jo vyakti dharmasya glaniḥ dekhe aur maun rahe, woh us brahmaandiya prakriya mein baadha hai. Jo uthe, bole, karya kare — woh usi srijamyaham ka madhyam.
Tilak ne Gita ko nishkriya samarpan ka nahi, sakriy karm ka shastra siddh kiya — aur is ek shlok ko unhone uski dhuri maana. Aap jis bhi kshetra mein hain — parivar, sanstha, samaj — wahan ka yada yada aapko hi dekh raha hai.
Woh bhrainti jo is shlok ko chhota kar deti hai
Adhikansh log is shlok ko 'dushton ki adhikta' se jodte hain. Kintu shlok dushṭānāṁ vṛiddhiḥ nahi kehta — dharmasya glaniḥ kehta hai. Yeh bhed daily life mein nirnayak hai: aapke workplace mein shayad koi khula apradh na ho, phir bhi agar sach bolne par aankhen jhuk jaayen aur nyay ki maang par sir hilen par pair na uthen — woh bhi glaniḥ ki avastha hai. Is shlok ka pratisar tab bhi utna hi anivarya hai.
