Who We Are

Jaapak is a free japa counter app built by Satish Sahu. This privacy policy explains how we handle data from users of the Jaapak app and jaapak.com website.

What Data We Collect

Jaapak App: Jaapak works fully offline. Your japa data (counts, malas, settings) and profile details are stored only on your device — we do not collect, transmit, or sell any of it, and the app has no account or login.

Google Drive Backup (coming in a future update): A future version will let you optionally back up your data to your own Google Drive. If you enable it, Google Sign-In will share your name and email with the app solely to save and restore your backup in your own Drive account — never to our servers.

Website: jaapak.com does not collect any personal data. No sign-up, no tracking cookies (except a language preference cookie).

Analytics: We may use basic, aggregate analytics (such as page views by country) to understand website performance. No personal identification is made.

Data Security

Your japa data and profile stay in your device's private app storage, accessible only to the Jaapak app. The app does not send this data anywhere. If you enable Google Drive backup in a future update, the backup is stored in your own Google Drive using Google's security infrastructure — we have no access to it.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Drive API — only if you enable backup/restore in a future update
• YouTube — for satsang videos embedded on the website (jaapak.com)

Each service has its own privacy policy which we recommend you review.

Children's Privacy

Jaapak does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with data, please contact us.

Your Rights

You can delete your data at any time — uninstall the app, or (if you created a backup) delete the backup file from Google Drive. The website has no accounts, so there is nothing to delete.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page.
