Why I Built This App
This app was inspired by Hit Shri Pujya Swami Premanand Ji Maharaj.
I'm a flawed person trying to be better. I was caught up in addictions. But by Maharaj ji's grace, I found the path of spirituality. The changes that came from chanting the divine name are beyond words.
I gained control over my senses. My discernment awakened. Anger, in particular, has come under far greater control than before.
The Problem That Started It All
I bought physical japa counters, but I couldn't carry them everywhere. Sometimes I'd forget them at home entirely.
Then it hit me: I carry my phone everywhere. Why not count my japa on it? I searched the Play Store and found a few apps, but most were either poorly designed or missing the features I needed.
So I decided to build one that could help me reach my goal of 10 million nama jap. That's how Jaapak was born.
What It Took
Every small feature, every bug fix took countless late nights. The entire app took about 6 months to build.
At first, I only wanted it for personal use. But as I kept adding features, I realized it could become an all-in-one app for other devotees like me.
For You
That's why I published it, so that every practitioner can benefit.
The app is completely free. There are some ads to cover server maintenance and keep things running.
