2.16Shareer (anitya) ka koi sthaayi astitva nahi; atma (nitya) kabhi nahi badalti.
2.17Jo poore shareer mein vyaapt hai woh avinaashi hai. Koi avinaashi atma ko nasht nahi kar sakta.
2.18Shareer toh khatm hoga, par uske andar ki atma sanatan hai. Isliye apna kartavya karo.
2.19Na woh jo atma ko maarne wala maane, na woh jo maara gaya maane, satya jaanta hai. Atma na maarti hai na maari jaati.
2.20Atma ka na janam hai na mrityu. Ajanma, sanatan, hamesha-rehne wali, shareer ke maarne par nahi maari jaati.
2.21Jo jaanta hai atma ajanma aur achal hai, woh kisko maar sakta hai ya maarwa sakta hai?
2.22Jaise insaan naye kapde pehan kar purane utaar deta hai, atma naya shareer le kar puraana chhod deti hai.
2.23Koi shastra atma ko kaat nahi sakta, na aag jala sakti, na paani bhigo sakta, na hawa sukha sakti.
2.24Atma atoot, aghulansheel, hamesha-rehne wali, sarvavyapi, na-badalne wali, achal, sada ek samaan.
2.25Atma adrishya, achintya, na-badalne wali hai. Ye jaan kar shareer ke liye shok mat karo.
2.26Agar tum maano bhi ki atma janam-mrityu mein hamesha rehti hai, tab bhi shok ka koi kaaran nahi.
2.27Jo janma hai woh marega, jo mara hai woh phir janmega. Anivaarya ke liye shok mat karo.
2.28Saare jeev janam se pehle aprakat, beech mein prakat, aur ant mein phir aprakat. Phir shok kya?
2.29Koi atma ko adbhut dekhte hain, koi adbhut kehte hain, koi adbhut sunte hain, aur kuch sun kar bhi nahi samajh paate.
2.30Har shareer mein basi atma kabhi nahi maari ja sakti. Toh kisi jeev ke liye shok mat karo.

Inmein teen seekh khaas hain.

Aap shareer vaise hi badalte ho jaise kapde. Jab kapde puraane ho jaate hain, aap bina aansoo bahaaye phenk dete ho. Shareer waisa hi hai. Jab woh puraana aur bekaar ho jaata hai aur atma naye mein chali jaati hai, woh tragedy nahi. Theek se dekho toh khushi ka pal hai, bas agar agla shareer atma ko aage badhne de, jis par agle hafte baat hogi.

Atma na maari ja sakti hai, aur woh poore shareer mein vyaapt hai. Isiliye Arjuna ka shok galat tha. Woh apne dada ka shareer khatm kar sakta tha. Atma ko kabhi chhoo bhi nahi sakta.

Aap adbhut ho, par udhaar ka. Atma ek aashcharya hai, aur hum sirf isliye adbhut hain kyunki hum Param Atma ka ansh hain.

Kartavya par ek baat. Ye doosre ke shareer ko hurt karne ki ijaazat nahi hai. Krishna Arjuna ko, ek kshatriya ko, us theek paristhiti mein dharma ki raksha ke kartavya ki yaad dila rahe hain. Atma ko samajhna zimmedari mitata nahi. Use saaf karta hai.

Atma kitne tarah ke shareer le sakti hai?

Vedon ke hisaab se 84 lakh (8.4 million) yoniyaan hain: jalchar, ped-paudhe, pakshi, pashu aur manushya. Atma inmein se kisi mein bhi shareer le sakti hai. Kaunsa, ye teen kaaranon par nirbhar karta hai, jo agle lesson ka vishay hai.

Atma ka pura swaroop kya hai?

Krishna ke apne varnan se, atma hai: sanatan, na-badalne wali, avinaashi, akshay, aur aprameya. Woh na maarti hai na maari jaati. Uska na janam na mrityu, kabhi janmi nahi aur kabhi janmegi nahi, hamesha-rehne wali aur aadi aur achal.   6. Aapki aakhri soch agla shareer banaati hai, isliye Bhagwan ko man mein rakho.
